HAVANA. The Pan-American Cycling Confederation (COPACI) expressed its condolences to the relatives, friends and members of the Canadian Cycling Association, after the death of the country's leading coach, Desmond Dieski.

"Canadian and American cycling has lost one of its most acclaimed trainers, a man who gave a great part of his life to teaching and preparing mainly excellent cyclists from Canada, the United States and Trinidad and Tobago," says the message of the President of the COPACI, José Manuel Peláez.

Later also the Vice President of the International Cycling Union (UCI) means that Dieski was a man devoted to the formation of important competitors who won great victories in the high competition, which is evidence of his ability as a technician and teacher.

"In this moment of pain for such a sensitive loss, on behalf of COPACI and the UCI, we send our condolences to the family, companions and friends of Desmond Dieskie," concludes José Manuel Peláez statement. (Copaci Press)
