EVO MORALES REQUESTS THAT COCHABAMBA ORGANIZE THE PAN AMERICAN TRACK ELITE IN 2019
HAVANA. At the opening of the Pan American Junior Cycling Championship, the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Evo Morales Ayma, requested the Pan American Cycling Confederation (COPACI), that Cochabamba be the host of the Pan American Elite Track Championship next year 2019.
Morales, a fervent soccer player and promoter of Bolivian sport since he took office in Bolivia in 2006, said he is convinced that cycling is a sport that contributes to strengthening integrity and spirit in human beings, mainly young people. .
At the opening ceremony of the continental youth event, the president of the Pan-American Cycling Confederation, José Manuel Peláez, acknowledged the support of the Bolivian government and especially of Evo Morales in the organization of the event. He added that Bolivian president's request to organize the elite track Pan-American ratifies the will of him and his government to further promote the sport, especially cycling.
