HAITIAN MANDATORY HOLDS MEETING WITH THE PRESIDENTS OF THE UCI AND THE COPACI
HAVANA. The Presidents of the International Cycling Union (UCI), David Lappartient, and the Pan-American Cycling Confederation (COPACI) and UCI Vicepresident, José Manuel Peláez, were received on Thursday by the President of the Republic of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse.
The meeting of Lappartient and Peláez with the Haitian president took place in an atmosphere of cordiality, and it was propitious for both leaders of the world cycling to inform Moïse about the plans of the UCI and the COPACI to promote the development of this sport in that Caribbean country. .
The visit of the leader of world cycling to Haiti responds to the current policy of the UCI to approach and attend the National Federations, especially those of less developed countries.
Lappartient and Peláez will travel from Haiti to the Dominican Republic to be present at the Caribbean Road Championship, which will host Santo Domingo on the 13th and 14th next. (Copaci Press)
