SAN SALVADOR. The Salvadoran cyclist, Mariana Salazar, of the Dorval AM team, ranked fifth in the general classification, on the fourth date of the Down Hill world cup held in the town of Val di Sole, Italy.

On the eve of the classification in the most important event of the Downhill world, the cuzcatleca has overcome the most adverse conditions, and a path with innumerable difficulties to be among the best in the world in the most extreme modality of high competition cycling.

In 2013, when the Salvadoran Mariana Salazar held the title of junior Pan American champion, suffered a hip fracture, due to the strong fall during the dispute of the second date of the World Cup Down Hill, in the town of Val di Sole, Italy, Mana overcame all the misfortunes to return to the clues of the world elite and put on high the name of El Salvador.

The final of the fourth date of the DH World Cup will be played this Sunday, July 8. The next event of the Down Hill World Cup will be on July 14 and 15 in the town of Vallnord, Andorra. (FSC Press)
