THE NAMES OF THE COLOMBIA CYCLING TEAM TRAVELING TO THE WORLD CUP IN NORWAY
BOGOTA. A roster of 20 athletes will represent the country in the next edition of the World Road Championships, which will have the epicenter of the city of Bergen, Norway, from 16 to 24 September.
The call is led by the star of the Quick Step Floors, Fernando Gaviria, who has drawn the international appointment by nations as one of his great objectives of the season.
And to achieve it will have the luxurious backing of Rigoberto Urán (Cannondale Drapac), Sergio Luis and Sebastian Henao (Team Sky); Jarlinson Pantano (Trek Segafredo), Jhonatan Restrepo (Team Katusha) and Nairo Quintana (Movistar Team), who already confirmed their presence before the Colombian Cycling Federation.
The complete list in the elite category will be known until next Friday, September 8, the last deadline to register the nine cyclists that will compete in the contest.
Miguel Ángel López (Astana Pro Team), Esteban Chaves (Orica Scott), Darwin Atapuma (Team UAE Emirates), Sebastián Molano (Team Manzana Postobon), Nelson Soto (Coldeportes Zenú Claro) and Champion of the Vuelta a Colombia Aristóbulo Cala (Strongman Bicycles), are the names with options to complete the payroll.
The U23 category will be led by Álvaro Hodeg, winner of stage and star of the packaging in the past Tour de L'Avenir. The pedalists, Ana Cristina Sanabria and Diana Peñuela will lead the baton between the ladies, while Victor Ocampo and Juan Fernando Calle, of great season in Europe, stand out among the juveniles who will be in the test.
