THE POWER LADIES WILL BE IN THE WORLD

BUENOS AIRES. International cycling is preparing to close another extensive season with the World Road Championships to be held in Bergen, Norway, and the Weber Shimano Ladies Power Team will be part of the party with the presence of 4 of its members.

The Weber Shimano Ladies Power enjoys in these hours to know that 4 of their cyclists were taken into account to compete in the World Championship Route of Bergen 2017, event that will begin this Sunday and will extend until the 24 of September.

Argentines Maribel Aguirre and Fernanda Yapura, who are in the UCI Center of Switzerland, were confirmed by the albiceleste selection, while the Chilean Aranza Villalón and the Cuban Marlies Mejías were also designated to represent their countries.

Maribel Aguirre (Junior) and Aranza Villalón (Elite) will be present in the individual time trials and in the one in the platoon route, while Fernanda Yapura and Marlies Mejías will participate only in the background event.

According to the official schedule of Bergen 2017 the junior ladies will have to cover 16,1 kilometers in the timed section and 76.4 kilometers in the test of peloton.

The elite will instead face 21.1 kilometers in the time trial and then will be 152.8 kilometers in the bottom race, in which there will be 3 Ladies Power in the peloton.

After a year with many laurels, the Ladies Power will be happy to compete in the World Championship route and will seek to be protagonists to leave their flags as high as possible. (Adolfo Carrizo)
