Everything is ready for the 70th edition of the Vuelta a Colombia to be shot. The Colombian Cycling Federation announced the route that the 10 stages of the race will have, which will pass through Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Tolima, Quindío, Risaralda, Caldas and Antioquia.
The competition, which was created by Efraín Forero Triviño, the ‘Indomable Zipa’, in 1951, will begin on November 13 with a circuit in the municipality of Villa de Leyva of 161.5 kilometers and will end on Sunday 22 with another circuit in Medellín of 100 km.
For this year, the Vuelta will have two traditional high finals such as Alto de La Línea and El Tambo. The peloton must pass a total distance of 1,196.4 kilometers in ten days of competition.
The current champion is Fabio Duarte, from Team Medellín, who will seek to defend the title and arrives as one of the favorites, after a season with little competition in the country and on a continental level.
