Franklin Archibold, of the team Panama es Cultura y Valores, ratified his favoritism today Saturday by winning the fifth stage of the Tour of Panama 2024, an individual time trial of 25.9 kilometers.
The route took place between the National Naval Air Service Base, the Centennial Bridge National Naval Air Service Base, the Centennial Bridge and the National Naval Air Service, in the province of Colon.

Daniel Bonilla (Colono Bikestation Kolbi) was fourth at 36 seconds, and Alex Strah (Panama es Cultura y Valores) finished fifth at 42 seconds behind.
Gabriel Rojas (7C Economy Lacoinex) finished in tenth place, 1 minute and 1 second behind, but he managed to keep the Rally jersey in the overall individual the overall individual classification.
“We know that the race is very complicated because of the differences in the standings, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t continue to fight. There is still one day left still in this Tour and we know that the emotions will continue,” said Archibold, 27 years old.
In the general classification, Gabriel Rojas registers 8 hours, 38 minutes and 43 seconds. For this Sunday, the Tour de Panama closes its XIX edition. A 10-lap circuit on the Cinta Costera 3 will bring down the curtain on this international event that has benefited the country’s economy and catapulted tourism. Sunday’s race starts at 9:00 a.m. and will feature two intermediate sprints, located at turns 2 and 4.
