BOGOTÁ. The boyacense runner shone again this Saturday during the background test of the Paracycling Road World Championship in Emmen, the Netherlands.
Carolina Munevar, ‘the girl from Cucaita’ had already hung this week the bronze medal in the CRI, but today, she climbed one more step and her conquest was the silver medal, after registering an hour, 36 minutes and 54 seconds, losing for just two seconds the world title, with the German Maika Hausberger (1:36:52). The podium was completed by the Chinese Zeng Sini.
With this result, Munevar says goodbye to this World Cup in the C2 category with two medals, one bronze and one silver, being the best representative of the Colombia Manto Postobón Team in the orbital event.
Meanwhile, others who shone in the contest were Alejandro Perea, who was sixth in C3, Paula Ossa did the same in the women’s C5, while Wilmar Marulanda finished in the Top 10 of the C2 male category. (Fedeciclismo Colombia)
