Last weekend the 2025 edition of the Pan American Downhill Championship was held, with the participation of the best mountain bikers of America in a competition organized by the Pan American Cycling Confederation (COPACI) and the National Cycling Sports Federation of Chile.
Chile, with three titles, two of them in the elite category to the account of Alvaro Martinez and Paz Gallo, fulfilled its goal of winning the competition by countries, as it also won in the cadet category with Fernando Lastra.
Brazil won the gold medals in the youth category with Augusto Wening and Larissa Hilscher and took second place in the medals table by countries. Colombia was third with three silver medals and one bronze, while Ecuador finished fourth with two subtitles.
In an event that brought together the best specialists of the continent, the Chilean representatives demonstrated their talent and competitiveness on the demanding courses, while adding important points for the world ranking.
