While the RCN Classic was celebrated in Colombia with the triumph of Kevin David Castillo, this discipline continues to give Colombian sport and a delegation that fought in the Pan American Downhill. As its name says, the competition is about going downhill on a mountainous track that puts competitors in trouble due to the intensity of the downhill.

Precisely, in the Pan American Downhill that took place in the Ecoparque El Espino, La Libertad in San Salvador, Colombia became the winner after standing out in each of the categories within the competition. A test for elite, junior, pre-juvenile and cadet athletes, among others.

The Colombian cyclists fought in the downhill to win, beating Guatemala and Chile with four gold, four silver and two bronze medals for a total of ten medals. The Guatemalan delegation took second place with seven medals, three of them gold. Chile completed the podium with four medals, one of them gold. 

In most of the categories there were Colombians standing out, Valentina Roa and Juan Muñoz won elite, Jerónimo Londoño and Christopher Silva in cadet and prejuvenile respectively. On the other hand, Sebastián Holguín, Juan José Jaramillo, Camila Ríos and Luciana Polanía in elite, junior, cadet and prejuvenile, won the other four silver medals. 

The podium was completed by Wilmar Ríos and José Pineda in the B1 and C1 masters respectively to give the overall victory to Colombia. Undoubtedly, the coffee representation continues to give what to talk about in the world of cycling in search of consolidating in more competitions.
