PRUSZKOW, POLAND. The Dutch cycling achieved its best performance in the World Track Championship in this city, winning three gold and one silver in the third day.

The titles went to Jan-Willem van Schip in the points race, Matthijs Buchli (keirin) and Kirsten Wild (omnium), and the subtitle to Theo Bos (kilometer against the clock).

Van Schip achieved the title with 104 units, escorted by Spaniard Sebastian Mora, runner-up (76 streaks), and Irishman Mark Downey, third (67). For his part, Buchli was seconded on the podium by the Japanese Yudai Nitta, subtitled, and the German Stefan Botticher, bronze medalist.

Wild closed the competition on Friday with her coronation in the women’s Omnium with 117 points, ahead of the Italian Letizia Paternoster (115) and the American Jennifer Valente (106).

In the race against the clock for men, Quentin Lafargue gave France his first gold metal of the joust, with a time of 1.00.029 minutes, followed by Bos (1.00.388) and the Frenchman Michael D’Almeida (1.00, 826).

In addition, in the other end of the day Lee Wai Sze, of Hong Kong, won the female speed, by beating the Australian Stephanie Morton, while the French Mathilde Gros took the bronze medal. (Prensa Latina)
