With less than a week until the start of the 2024 cycling season, the rosters registered for the Santos Tour Down Under are already known, an Australian race that will take place from January 16 to 21.

This competition will mark the beginning of the new campaign for the World Tour Category, that is, for the highest category of professional cycling, where 20 squads will participate. In one of them, a Colombian was confirmed: the Monterian sprinter Álvaro Hodeg who will race with Team UAE Emirates.

Among the registered cyclists there are also three other Latin Americans: the Mexican Isaac del Toro (UAE Team Emirates), the Ecuadorian Jonathan Narváez (Ineos Grenadiers) and the Brazilian Vinicius Rangel (Movistar). The list of the fair shows names as recognized as the Frenchman Julian Alaphillipe (Soudal-Quick Step); and the Italian Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers).

Álvaro Hodeg would be the main letter of the UAE Team Emirates for packaging. The man from Montería hopes to have a season like his best times, after the serious accident he suffered and which left him off the roads for more than a year.

Other figures and candidates for the title who will be at the start of this competition will be Simon Yates, Jack Haig, Ben Zwiehoff, Michael Storer, Óscar Onley and Luke Plapp. In addition, there will be several of the best sprinters in the world such as: Phil Bauhaus, Caleb Ewan, Sam Welsford or Biniam Girmay.
