The third stage of the Tour of Chiriqui 2024 was in the hands of Franklin Archibold (Panama is Culture and Values). The Panamanian was the strongest of the breakaway in the end and achieved the victory, after riding 82.5 kilometers in the vicinity of the Volcán Boulevard.
The 27-year-old rider achieved his seventh victory of the season by beating Costa Rican Joseph Ramírez (Esparza Traininig) and Colombian Kevin Cano (Comercializadora Farmacia Birdman), who came in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
As for the general classification, the Panamanian David Diaz (Rally-Giant) maintained the leadership of the race. The second place is occupied by his compatriot Bolívar Espinosa (Panama es Cultura y Valores), 7 seconds behind the leader.
The Panamanian race will continue this Sunday with the fourth stage, a flat circuit of 82 kilometers around the city of David.
