The crucial day to the time trial of the Tour of Guatemala 2024 was in the hands of Javier Jamaica (Team Medellin-EPM). The Colombian was the best in the time trial of 15 kilometers around Villa Canales.

The individual time trial was won by the Bogota rider, who was unbeatable in the fight against the clock, winning with a time of 27:56, at an average of 32.27 km/hour.

López was escorted in the day’s time trial by his compatriot Róbinson López (GW Erco Shimano) and by the Guatemalan Mardoqueo Vásquez (Hino-One-La red-Suzuki), while the top 5 was completed by Jhonatan Chaves (NU Colombia) and Nicolás Paredes (Hino-One-La red-Suzuki).

As for the general classification, Boyacan climber Róbinson López (GW Erco Shimano) increased the advantage over his rivals. He is now followed by Guatemalan Mardoqueo Vásquez (Hino-One-La Red-Suzuki) at more than a minute and by David González (Team Medellín-EPM) at more than 4 minutes.

This Sunday will be the last stage of the Guatemalan round, starting in San Lucas Sacatepéquez and finishing in Antigua, over a 130-kilometer route on undulating terrain.
