Today was a great day for Kevin Castillo in the International Tour of Guadeloupe 2024. The talented Colombian rider shone with Team Sistecrédito in Caribbean territory, coming second in the eighth stage and getting closer to the title of the competition that takes place in the archipelago of the Antilles.

The young beetle was relegated by the judges to second place in an undulating day of 147.1 kilometers, which united Lamentin with Sainte-Rose. Frenchman Sam Maisonobe (Vendée U) ended up being the winner. While Sebastián Castaño was reported as third at the finish line.

The great performance of the rider from Risaralda helped him to increase his lead in the overall individual classification. In the second position is classified his colleague Sebastián Castaño, with a difference of more than a minute.

This Sunday will conclude the prestigious Caribbean race, with an undulating stage of 153.6 kilometers, between Pointe-à-Pitre and Baie-Mahault, where we will know the successor of Frenchman Benjamin Le Ny, last year’s champion.
