The Costa Rican cyclist, Kevin Rivera of the Italian team Androni Giocattoli – Sidermec, continues to reap good results and this Monday won the queen stage in the Langkawi Tour of Malaysia.

In general Rivera climbed to position 35. It is 10min 36sec from the general leader Danilo Celano.
“Too bad Kevin wasted a lot of time in the first stage when he was not well due to stomach problems. Without that problem, today he could be a leader in the general classification,” said Gianni Savio.
The Langkawi Tour was part of the UCI Asia Tour since the creation of the UCI Continental Circuits in 2005, within the category 2.HC (highest category of these circuits), thus becoming one of the most important cycling events in Asia. In 2020 it became part of the UCI ProSeries within category 2.Pro.1
