Total Domination! Lilibeth Chacón was crowned champion of the International Women’s Tour of Costa Rica 2023 this Sunday. The Venezuelan runner from the Colombian team Clarus Merquimia Group – Strongman did not give her rivals a chance and won all four stages.
“Thankful to God for this victory, it was a pretty tough circuit, the key is that our team is a family and we always fight together, the atmosphere was beautiful here in Costa Rica and very happy for the result,” said Chacón after winning the round ethics.
On the last day of the Costa Rican race, Chacón once again defeated the Colombian Karen Villamizar (Pato Bike BMC Team) in the fourth stage, which took place this Sunday, October 15, with a circuit in Escazú. In third position came the also Colombian Anette Saavedra from Prototype Women’s Cycling, who also won the title in the under 23 category.
The hegemony of the Clarus Merquimia Group Strongman in the Central American event was total, it also occurred in the flying goals with Jennie Salcedo and in the mountain prizes with Lilibeth Chacón. The best rider of the event was Milagro Mena from Colono Bikestation Kölbi, who was also the protagonist in this Sunday’s stage since she was away for much of the test.
