MEDELLÍN. With the reappearance in competition of the double Olympic champion, the Antioquia pilot Mariana Pajon (GW-SHIMANO-PRO), the National BMX 2019 Tournament will start tomorrow, Friday, on the new Campo Verde track.
With Mariana returning, the other members of the GW-SHIMANO-PRO, the Antioquenos Carlos Oquendo, Juan Camilo Ramírez, Andrea Escobar and Diego Arboleda integrated to the Miguel Calixto from Bogota will also be participating.
The event, with the presence of 800 pilots, will be scoring Pan American Championship and World Championship and selective to the SX World Cup series.
Ramírez bound for Florida, United States
The Rio Olympic medalist 2916, Carlos Ramírez Yepes, is already in Oldsmar, Florida USA to run this weekend the GATOR NATIONALS (UCI C1).
Ramírez Yepes, first national driver classified in the UCI Ranking, will start in North American territory between Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 a preparatory calendar for the first series of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup scheduled for Manchester GBR (April 27-28) and Papendal NED ( May 11-12).
