The missionary Mariela Delgado, a member of the Weber The Second Ladies Power Team and the Argentinean Adapted Cycling Team, began her participation in the Apeldoorn Paralympic World Championship with a 5th place in the 500 meter race with a stopped start.

The Argentine cyclist jumped to the Dutch track in search of a mark that left her in the podium but could not meet their expectations, recorded a time of 39.528 seconds and agreed to the 5th place.

The medal zone was occupied by Caroline Groot (Holland) with 36,464, Sarah Storey (Great Britain) and Marie Patouillet (France).

The ecumenical contest will continue this Friday and again Mariela Delgado will be on track to face the 200-meter specialty.
