The Movistar Team began its ‘training camp’ this Sunday in Calpe for the 2024 season. The telephone squad, which will prepare until December 20 on the Costa Brava in Alicante, has shared a video on its social networks in which it highlights the return of Nairo Quintana, who trained with his new teammates and with a special guest: The incombustible Alejandro Valverde.
The Movistar Team meets, from this Sunday, December 10 to Wednesday, December 20, in Calpe (Alicante, Spain) to cover the only ‘training camp’ of its 2024 preseason, the 45th of the structure in the elite.
The stay of the telephone squad, in addition to the long and usual road training sessions, will include physical and technical tests, commitments with sponsors and VIPs and other events of special relevance for the blue team.
This has been the first time that Nairo Quintana, whose return to the Movistar Team was announced a few days after the first logistical ‘stage’ in Pamplona, has shared efforts with his new teammates on European soil.
The one who has also been in the game in this concentration has been Alejandro Valverde, who has not hesitated to get back on the bike with his teammates. The former world champion will continue to be linked to the Spanish team, as he did last season, in management roles.
