The current leader of the Olympic Movement of the Americas, the Chilean Neven Ilic, was ratified as President of Panam Sports with a total of 37 votes over his opponent Keith Joseph, who obtained 16 votes, during the LXII General Assembly held in Asuncion, Paraguay.
Veda Bruno Victor (Grenada), Camilo Pérez (Paraguay) and Sarah Hirshland (USA) were elected as Vice Presidents for the 2024-2028 period and will head three respective working groups.
After 5 p.m. (Paraguayan time) the voting took place, with the winner being the current President of Panam Sports, who will serve his third consecutive term in the Organization for the next four years.
“I want to thank all those who supported me, for allowing me to finish this project. These elections are over and I can say that we are a great group. Everyone is part of this project. Of course, I thank my friend Keith Joseph. We will continue working so that America remains a stellar continent,” said Panam Sports President Neven Ilic at the end of the voting.
