After five intense days of competition, Colombian Nicolás Paredes (Hino-One-La Red-Tigo-Suzuki) was crowned champion of the Tour of Honduras 2024, after defending the lead in the last stage, held in San Pedro Sula.
The 32-year-old native of Bogota, who became the first Colombian to win the Honduran round, added another title to his record after emerging champion of the Vuelta a Mendoza last year, the Tour of Michoacán in 2018, the Tour of Chile in 2017 and runner-up in the Vuelta a Chiriquí in 2016.
Behind Paredes, who did not win any of the stages contested during the 2024 edition, his teammates, Guatemalans Edgar Torres and Mardoqueo Vásquez, who came second and third, respectively, took the podium.
The last stage was in the hands of Nicaraguan Henry Rojas (EDASA), who won after a tough battle with the peloton.
