Cycling stole the show on the fourth day of the Cali Fair, where Santiago Buitrago and Diana Peñuela were victorious in the cycling circuit that was disputed through the streets of the capital of Valle del Cauca, in an event called Cali Grand Prix 2024 and organized by the Jarlinson Pantano Foundation.
The Bogota-born cyclist won in the elite category and succeeded Sergio Higuita, winner of the last edition in 2021. In second position came Herberth Gutiérrez and the third step of the podium was occupied by Bryan Gómez.
The race brought together great exponents of cycling at national and international level and was attended by the Colombian-Spanish Óscar Sevilla, Rodrigo Contreras, among others of the Colombian peloton.
The cycling event, which took place in parallel to the traditional cultural fair of the city, was well received by the Cali public who vibrated with the arrival of the cyclists to the Salsódromo along the southern highway.
Diana Peñuela shines among the ladies
The Cali Grand Prix 2024, a circuit organized by the Jarlinson Pantano Foundation as one of the great events framed in the 67th Cali Fair, was successfully held in the capital of Valle del Cauca.
The race, which was attended by great stars of Colombian cycling, left as winner in the women’s category Diana Peñuela, who next year will ride for Team Sistecrédito.
The cyclist from Caldas defeated Kimberly Escobar and Valery Londoño, who completed the podium of a race that aroused an extraordinary enthusiasm and was carried out in the midst of a formidable organization.
