The Santo Domingo 2023 Pan American Master Track and Road Championships are already underway, organized by the Dominican Cycling Federation (FEDOCI), whose opening ceremony took place at the velodrome of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, in the capital of Quisqueyan.

The activity was headed by the engineer Jorge Blas Díaz García, president of the FEDOCI, who thanked the visit and participation of 13 delegations made up of almost 150 runners of both sexes and more than 30 delegates and technicians from the continental area who participate in the great, which began on Monday, August 28 and will run until Sunday, September 3.

«On behalf of FEDOCI and the country, we welcome you and hope you enjoy this event, and our country. I wish the best for all of you,” concluded Díaz García.

Díaz García indicated that among the participating countries are Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Uruguay, which compete in a good fight in the track and road events of the Panamamaster 2023.

Díaz, who is the general director of the cycling tournament, highlighted that in the Panam Master they will see male cyclists in the Master categories 30-34 years old, in which 15 riders are registered; Master 35-39, with 22; Master 40-44, 13; Master 45-49 (15), Master 50-54 (20), Master 55-59 (15), Master 60-64 (18), Master 65/69 (08) and Master 70 and more, with three registered.

On his side, engineer Rafael Tejada Martínez, president of the Pan-American Master Cycling Commission, thanked FEDOCI, and all the delegations, and expressed confidence that the event would be successful and satisfying for the participants.

He indicated that in the international cycling tournament, which will conclude next Sunday on Avenida Mirador Sur, runners over 30 years of age from Cuba, Puerto Rico, the United States, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic will also be driving.
