The Colombian continental formation Team Medellín-EPM is currently the best team in the world in the UCI ranking. In mid-October, the scoring for the 2024 season ended and the 2025 ranking began.
Since then, the squad from the capital of Antioquia participated in three international competitions: Vuelta a Guatemala, Tour de Rio in Brazil and Vuelta al Ecuador. In these races it won four stage victories, made the podium in all three races and won four additional titles among teams, mountain and U-23.
This allowed him to add 192 UCI points that have him leading the world team classification. The team led by José Julián Velásquez is escorted by the Ecuadorian Movistar-Best PC with 117 points. Third place is occupied by Nu Colombia with 79 points and in fourth place is GW Erco Shimano with 64 points.
While the European calendar begins, Team Medellin EPM will proudly take one more achievement in its eight-year history where it shares space provisionally with the best as Tadej Pogačar, leader of the individual ranking.
