BUENOS AIRES. From January 27 to February 3, in the Vuelta a San Juan 2019 will compete the triple Slovakian world champion Peter Sagan, the British Mark Cavendish considered the best sprinter of the last decade, the Belgian number one international junior Remco Evenpoel and Argentine Olympic representative Maxi Richeze adding a total of six World Tour teams, the highest category of professional road cycling.
Confirmed by the former soccer player of River Plate and now San Juan government sports secretary, Jorge Chica, Peter Sagan will join the ranks of the Bora-Hansgrohe to pedal for the fourth time in Argentina since, in 2013, 2014 and 2016, he did it in the Tour of San Luis such as Mark Cavendish of the Dimension Data Team set that rolled in the San Luis test in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
With a past as a footballer, he joined Belgium’s U-16 team until he hung up his boots to get on the bike, crowned as the current junior world champion in both the peloton and individual time trials, the young Remco Evenepoel will be one of the aces of swords of the Deceuninck-Quick Step team with the Maxi Richeze from Buenos Aires but without the Colombian sprinter Fernando Gaviria who will debut with the colors of the UAE Emirates Team that would also bring the Italian cyclist Fabio Aru.
