The International Cycling Union announced the definitive date for the Tour of Táchira en Bicicleta 2025, which will be held from January 12 to 19, and will have eight stages that will cross the Andean state with the possibility of a fraction in the Department of Norte de Santander of the sister Republic of Colombia.

This event gathers every year the greats of national cycling, as well as cyclists from the European and American continent, in the solid efforts of the governor of the state, Freddy Bernal Rosales, to strengthen the importance of this competition in the conservation of the 2.2 category as well as in the Vuelta a Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, among others, highlighted a press release from the Mindeportes.

Likewise, the Organizing Committee of the Vuelta al Táchira together with the Venezuelan Cycling Federation, the Tachira Cycling Association and the IDT by instructions of the Chief of the Regional Executive, since the end of the last edition, has been working on the elaboration of the new route, which will be made official once the details referred to the binational stage are made.

The Tour of Táchira for having the UCI category of 2.2, must count with the participation of five foreign teams and the countries that look to the possibility are Colombia, Mexico and Ecuador, adding to the national clubs makes presage to more than twenty competitors in what would be a great event of the pedal that will celebrate its 60 years.

The event that year after year brings together the best of national cycling and other nations in Europe and the Americas was registered early with the UCI, a task that has been done with the aim of strengthening this competition and that results in the preservation of its category 2.2 as well as important races in the region as the Vuelta a Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Guatemala among others.

The previous edition was won by Jonathan Caicedo, who went down in history as the first Ecuadorian champion of the traditional competition.
