A total of 146 riders from 25 national and foreign teams were registered with the Colombian Cycling Federation to participate in the The Women’s Tour of Colombia 2024, an event to be held between August 20 and 25, in the departments of Bolívar, Atlántico, Magdalena and César.

This ninth edition of the most important women’s stage race of the national calendar, which is part of the UCI international calendar in category 2.2, will have the participation of riders from Mexico, Venezuela, Canada, United States, Bolivia, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Ecuador, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Honduras, Argentina, Guatemala and Colombia.

The foreign teams for the ninth edition of the The Women’s Tour of Colombia 2024 will be DNA Pro Cycling and Boneshaker Project from the United States; Einecat – CM Team from Spain; BMC Patobike Strongman and Azteca Cycling Team from Mexico and the Venezuelan National Team.

Among the 19 national teams will be present: Team Sistecrédito, Team Boyacá es para Vivirla, Mujeres Antioquia – Orgullo Paisa, Pedaleras, A.V. Cycling Store Bike Solutions, Avinal – Alcaldía El Carmen de Viboral, Ciclismo Capital, Colombia Potencia de la Vida, San Mateo Tour y Nativa, Picap – Ala – Montelias, Alcaldía de Cota – 4WD Rent, Quici Sport – Escarabajos, Indenorte Liga NDS Team Neblina, Liro Sport Arroz Casanare, Bogotá EMI Freight Arce Bike, Selección Atlántico, Bolívar – Ider, Inder Santander – Liga de Ciclismo and Team Polibikes Gobernación de Risaralda.

The Women’s Tour of Colombia 2024 will begin its official activity on Monday, August 19, with the review of licenses, confirmation of riders and delivery of accreditations, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon, on the second floor of the City Hall located in the Plazoleta de la Aduana, in Cartagena.

From 1:00 to 2:00 in the afternoon the Technical Congress will be held, and from 2:00 to 2:30 the meeting of the commissioners with the Police, the accredited media and the drivers who will be in the caravan.

The official presentation of the participating teams will take place at 4:00 p.m., at the Plazoleta de la Torre del Reloj, in Cartagena de Indias.

Stage 1: Tuesday, August 20

Route: Cartagena – Arroyo de piedra – Arroyo grande – Loma de Arena – Return – Cartagena (101.9 km)

Stage 2: Wednesday, August 21

Route: Cartagena – Loma de Arena – Puerto Colombia (by the Window to the World Monument) – Finish at the Malecon of Barranquilla (127.5 km)

Stage 3: Thursday, August 22

Route: Malecón de Barranquilla – Los Cocos – Tasajera – Puebloviejo – Ciénaga – Vía Alterna al Puerto de Santa Marta – Minca – Pozo Azul (108.4 km)

Stage 4: Friday, August 23

Route: Ciénaga – Aracataca – El Copey – Bosconia (on the road to Valledupar) (134.km)

Stage 5: Saturday, August 24

Route: Valledupar (Departure at the Gobernación del César) – return PR 70 (before Mariangola) – PR 105 – Return – detour to Pueblo Bello (121.2 km)

Stage 6: Sunday, August 25

Route: Individual Time Trial – Start at Gobernación del César in Valledupar – PR 106 – Return – Finish at Gobernación del César (28.1 km)
