The great figures of the peloton are already preparing for the 2024 season… although one month before the official start of the season there are cyclists who, to this day, still do not have a team to compete next year, as stated on the portal ProCyclingStats.

The most notable case is that of the Spanish cyclist David de la Cruz, 34 years old, who after not renewing with the Astana club, still does not have a confirmed team for 2024. In 2023, De la Cruz achieved good results such as his eighth position in the general of O Gran Camiño or the twelfth square in Paris-Nice.

However, he was forced to abandon the Tour de France after a hard fall in the twelfth stage and also retired in the last Vuelta a España when he was on the verge of the Top-10 overall.

Costa Rican Andrey Amador, 37, also continues without a confirmed team for 2024, although the Costa Rican assured that he will try to continue two more seasons at EF Education-Easypost. Throughout his career, Amador has played an important role as a team player for Movistar and Ineos and he wants to continue riding in the peloton in 2024 as well.

The list of cyclists without a team for 2024 also includes names such as the Kazakh Andrey Zeits, the Eritrean Merhawi Kudus, the Norwegian Odd Christian Eiking, leader for seven stages and eleventh in La Vuelta 2021; the American Joe Dombrowski, stage winner in the 2021 Giro d’Italia; or the Colombian Álvaro Hodeg.
