On a day for climbers, Tobias Lund Andresen emerged victorious in the fourth stage of the CRO Race 2024. The Danish Team dsm-firmenich PostNL rider was the strongest in the demanding uphill finish after 160.5 kilometers between the Croatian towns of Krk and Labin.
The Scandinavian rider won the duel with solvency over the Italian Edoardo Zambanini (Bahrain – Victorious). Third was the Norwegian Odd Christian Eiking (Uno-X Mobility), three seconds behind.
As for the four Colombians, all came behind the winner. The best of our team was Jhonatan Restrepo (Team Polti Kometa) in 96th place, followed by Álvaro Hodeg 110th, Jonathan Guatibonza 111th and Juan Sebastián Molano 112th, the three sprinters of UAE Team Emirates arrived in the ‘group’.
Regarding the general classification, Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates) remained firmly in the first position now escorted by the Danish Tobias Lund Andresen (Team dsm-firmenich PostNL). The podium was completed by Italian Edoardo Zambanini (Bahrain – Victorious).
This Saturday will be the fifth stage of the Croatian round, starting from Ozalj to arrive in Karlovac, on a route of 167 kilometers on hilly terrain. The successor of Venezuelan Orluis Aular, last year’s champion, will be known this Sunday in Zagreb (Croatia).
