The seventh stage of the Tour of Costa Rica 2024 was won by Donovan Ramírez (Team Colono Bikestation Kölbi). The Costa Rican was the strongest in the definition and achieved the victory alone, after riding 137 kilometers with arrival in Buenos Aires.
The 22-year-old Costa Rican rider, who achieved his fifth victory of the year, beat his compatriot Sebastián Brenes (Canel’s-Java) and American Jhon Borstelmann (BTR Racing), who finished 2nd and 3rd, respectively, both 10 seconds behind the winner,
In the general classification, Costa Rican Luis Daniel Oses (7C-Economy Lacoinex) leads the race with a 30-second advantage over his compatriot Joseph Ramirez (CMC Prefabricados San Carlos).
The Central American race, which enters the final stretch, will continue this Friday with the eighth stage, a mountainous day of 119 kilometers, which will leave Perez Celedon to arrive in San Rafael de Oreamuno. The successor of Juan Diego Alba, last year’s champion, will be known on December 22 in Heredia (Costa Rica).
