HAVANA. This Friday saw the sixth stage of the 54th edition of the Tour of Costa Rica, in which Román Villalobos (Canel’s Specialized) was the winner in a single day, with a day and a finish in Paraíso of 93 kilometers.

The segment was held in mountain terrain, favorable to the Colombian Diego Cano, leader in the individual general classification.

Four riders were in charge of leading the getaway among which were the Colombian Oscar Sanchez (Canel’s Specialized), Anthony Sanchez (Cycle Korea Bike), Román Villalobos (Canel’s Specialized) and Franklin Loaiza (Colonist).

Román Villalobos celebrated victory in Paradise, followed by Bryan Salas (Nestlé-Giant) and Jonathan Cañaveral (TCBY-Strongman Bicycles-Coldeportes), third.

This Saturday runs the seventh stage between Guápiles and the Municipality of Goicoechea, about 140 kilometers. (Press Copaci / Mundociclistico.com)
