The Irishman Sam Bennett (Deceuninck) won the sprint this Thursday the 9th stage of the Vuelta a España, after which the Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz (Ineos) kept the red jersey of the leader of the race
Bennett got his second win in this edition of the Vuelta, beating in a massive arrival the German Pascal Ackermann (Bora) and the Belgian Gerben Thijssen (Lotto).
After the stage, Carapaz maintains the lead in the general classification with 13 seconds ahead of the Slovenian Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma), and 28 seconds over the Irishman Daniel Martin (ICA).
On Friday the 10th stage of the Vuelta will take place, of 185 km between Castro Urdiales and Suances, with a single third category port.
